The day began with a trip to Davis Farm Supply....which is called something else now....to pick up some cottonseed. I then headed to Watson Farms to pick up my compadres.
David, Bridgette, and I went to Croton to take up a fence and move the cows around. It was a scorching hot day, but we had fun nonetheless.
We ate lunch at the cafe in Dickens. Then headed to town so the kids could go to the Old Settlers festivities in Floydada.
My dear, sweet, Virgil disappeared overnight, and we learned this evening that he was at a neighbor's house, so we went and picked him up. Whew! Glad to have my baby back.
Dad, Reese, Bridgette, and I worked in the tomato patch late this evening, hoeing, watering and fertilizing. The plants are beginning to take off.
Reese unloaded the pallet of cottonseed at the barn and Bridgette and I fed the cows. Sage is still in Turkey and Reagan is in Fredericksburg with Lee.
I'm really digging this family farm stuff. I can see myself out here again full time. Not sure if the rest of the family wants Demanda back in the house.
